Trump using immigration ban as a distraction

The Trump administration loves a good diversion and it is quite possible they are using the justified uproar over the haphazard execution of the immigration executive order to sneak a couple of things by the public. 

Chief among the less noticed actions was appointing chief political strategist, Steve Bannon, to the National Security Council, which is a position usually reserved for generals. 

This effectively means a political strategist will be the room weighing on assasinations and whether we should go to war, not based on whether it’s good for the country but based on the politics of it, because that’s his actual job.
